Membership
The need for trained and skilled project managers for any number of industries is expanding, and trained project managers who have experience finishing projects successfully on time, under budget, and professionally administered can garner significant pay and respect.
Fortune Magazine called Project Management ''the #1 career choice.'' As this highly sought-after skill becomes increasingly competitive, the well-equipped, talented, and knowledgeable project managers will be in the best position to advance and enrich their professional careers.
The Project Management Institute (PMIŽ ), and our Clear Lake/Galveston PMI Chapter, can play a vital role in preparing you for that opportunity through memberships.
In order to join the chapter, one must first join PMI International. You can obtain a PMI International membership packet by contacting PMI Headquarters. This packet will include a booklet on benefits and an application form.
You can also download an application form OR apply online. On your application form, indicate that you also wish to join the Clear Lake / Galveston (CLG) Chapter.
Cost:
 $10 new member application fee
$119 per year PMI member dues, and
$20 per year PMI-CLG chapter member dues.
Monthly chapter meetings are the 4th Thursday of each month, except for November and December. We have a ''birthday party'' in early December that replaces our November & December meetings. Select the Events area of the web site for more information.
As a non-member, you may attend chapter meetings and seminars, but at a slightly higher rate.
